Lifestyle dietetics & nutrition is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our clients and website visitors in compliance with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018. This is reflected in the way we collect, store and use information.

• Lifestyle dietetics & nutrition website collects log data that your internet browser sends eg: where you are located, the pages of the website you visit, the time and date of your visit and how much time you spend on the pages visited. We do not collect any personally identifiable information from this website unless you email us directly with an enquiry.
• When booking appointments, your name, telephone number and/or email address, date of birth, address and GP contact information will be held electronically on our practice management software, who are GDPR compliant.
• During an appointment, the patients weight, height, relevant medical history, dietary and lifestyle data will be collected as part of the assessment process. This data is seen only by the practitioner, with your consent, your GP and referring consultant if applicable. The data is held on protected electronic files.

• The above data is required to effectively devise a bespoke dietetic care plan, specifically tailored to you as an individual. You will not be asked for any additional data beyond that required for the assessment.
• Information obtained will not be forward or sold to any third parties. It is not used for marketing purposes.
• Testimonials will be used with your permission to use it on the website.

• Data will be held for no longer than is legally required. Once you are discharged from our services, your data will be kept on our secure database for eight years. After this period of time the data will be electronically deleted permanently and hard copies shredded.
• If however, you wish your data to be deleted from our records at any time, please contact us directly.
• There is a procedure in place for dealing promptly with any disputes / complaints about how your data is managed. Please contact us directly by email/phone for further details if required.
